My own mom recommends Jamaican Rum.

Apparently, rubbing that into your infant's gumline makes them forget allllll about the pain!

(I jest!)

Go with ice cubes in socks. Or frozen washcloths. Or find the volume control. It's gotta be on there somewhere! Don't these new models come with instructions?Woman with a Hatchethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16539793554273012568noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22208131.post-89567067295915712232007-08-01T13:02:00.000-04:002007-08-01T13:02:00.000-04:00My friend Alicia Caldwell said when her kids teeth...My friend Alicia Caldwell said when her kids teethed at about 4 months she put some ice in one of those little white socks and tied it. It lets the baby suck on something and the cold will ease the pain, without any drugs.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22208131.post-32728371931174931532007-08-01T12:20:00.000-04:002007-08-01T12:20:00.000-04:00Misty, I'm going to advise something that goes tot...Misty, I'm going to advise something that goes totally against the current wisdom, I suspect. Oliver is at a weight where, it seems to me, he might be ready for some sort of simple, filling baby cereal. I know, I know, it goes against the nothing-but-breast-milk-for-six-months current trend, but somehow, you've got to give yourself a break, and the boy may very well be hungry! Karl was a fairly hefty child - 30 pounds at 18 months - and it seemed he was always hungry from birth on. When he was adamently watching us eat dinner at about 3 or 4 months old (and I had a dream he had a full set of teeth - I figured it was my subconscious mind working) I started him on simple baby foods and it worked out just fine. Still nursed him until he was nearly 2 years old (gee, don't tell him we're discussing this in public.) At least consider it.Paula Eberthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03246836723577773126noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22208131.post-72643718267609141462007-08-01T11:57:00.000-04:002007-08-01T11:57:00.000-04:00I love the Oliver commentaries.
