It's co-sleeping dear...

Not co-nighttime-play.

Otter was awake a lot last night. Monkey had a nightmare around two a.m., which woke him up and resulted in a very awake baby smacking me in the face and kicking me in the stomach for half an hour or so. (Monkey dreamed about Tarantulas biting her, which I stated was very unlikely for them to do, given their relatively mellow natures and small fangs, and maybe they were kissing her instead? It seemed to calm her down, but I fear I may be creating a truly warped child here.)

Then he woke up at 5:30 again, ready to start our day! (Crazy kid! The only thing I start at that hour is cursing!)

So here I am, so tired I can hardly keep my eyes open, and wishing I had been wise enough to fall asleep at 8.

Otter? Well he is tired too, but is he napping??? NO!! He is an unstoppable force of baby nature.... determinedly getting into every nook, cranny, drawer, meat cleaver, and poisonous plant in the world, while his bleary-eyed Mom tries to keep up.

Crap, he has the speaker wire again....

ah the joys of cosleeping. Eliza ends up in our beds most night and she often ends up picking our noses. It is her thing I guess. Hope you get some much needed rest!

This is the reason we stopped co-sleeping. However, the nights that I am up and down 15 fricking times makes me wish she was still in bed with me.

Oh you are nicer than I am. My husband and I have sworn that we are never going to do it. I can barly sleep with my husband in the bed let alone a moving little child. I hope when our lucy gets older she doesn't try to climb into bed with us and try the cosleeping cause I don't know if I would have the heart to say no, but I know that I don't wnat to go down THAT road :)

You don't need a bigger bed, you need a force field.

Also, I've got an award for you (I feel like such a nerd! As if admitting to playing D&D, video games and watching sci-fi movies weren't nerdy enough already....) on my blog, if you would be so kind as to drop by!

Mmm-wah!

Awww... the speaker wire. I just posted a week or so ago about how we took out our surround sound. Anyway, I popped over to wish you a happy birth anniversary and your kiddo a happy b-day!! I can't believe how fast the year has gone!

I just went to Cole's daycare and we sang happy birthday and watched him smear cupcake all over his face. :-)
