Haiku Friday

Haiku Friday

Travel with children,
The crying, boredom and tears,
requires tequila.

We left with four hours
plenty of time to get to
the flight to Cali.

Monkey complained of
a painful crick in her neck
crying the whole ride.

We got stuck halfway
twixt Jersey and vacation
I hate construction.

Two hours 'til take off
We can make it, no worries
"Mom? I don't feel good."

An hour thirty-ish
Still on the bridge not moving
bag under her mouth.

Calling airline fast
can they fly us out later
We aren't even close.

Horking in the back
as my daughter adds her own
spice to the journey.

Breakthrough on freeway!
We violate physics laws
as we race the clock.

Check in goes quickly
everyone is late today
stupid construction.

Through security
onto the plane just in time
pant never again.

Five days in Cali
Time on the beach with our friends
Totally worth it.

often best laid plans
go awry requiring
many adjustments

Thanks for your visit to my Photoshop HF post at Small Reflections. I left some specific information there in response to your comment, but if it’s not clear … feel free to send email and I’ll do my best to help out. There's another HF post at Sacred Ruminations with even more 'illustrated' info about what I've learned so far.

I hope the remainder of your California vacation progresses without a hitch. You deserve a break and perhaps more tequila ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
