Sometimes the only cure for melancholy is to look for simple beauty in the world. While I was trying to deal with my feelings this week I decided to walk around and look at the world around me. It turns out New Jersey isn't nearly as ugly and gray as I first thought it was.

Ooh, nice pictures, Scylla!!
We went to a nursery with my wife and my little one, and I took many pictures, but I used my cellphone, so I don't think they're going to look too good...
Here is my post. Have a great week!
These are great, Scylla!!
gorgeous. glad you could find the beauty in it.
Ooo...that second one of the dogwoods is beautiful!
(New Jersey is only ugly in Newark and the surrounding areas...but as someone half raised there, there are plenty of beautiful spots there!! Don't give up hope!)
Beautiful shots! I'm glad you found some pretty in the midst of all you've been feeling.
Those are great! Did you go to a botanical garden or are those from around the neighborhood?
I'm sorry you're still grey. : (
Thanks! These are from around the neighborhood.
Beautiful pictures!
They don't call it the Garden State for nothing. :) I think the second pic is my favorite...
I love that second photo. I don't know . . . I think it's the color. So beautiful!!
Beautiful pictures! Love the flowers.

My Little Drummer Boys
Great shots! I guess NJ can't be all bad, afterall it's named the Garden State! And gardens are typically not gray and ucky.
Hope things are better this week...
